Yep, its Monday and that means a new challenge from Bitten By The Bug. This week we are asked to use the owl cut from the Wild Card Cricut cartridge. This is really a cute cut too. I made a pink owl card with it once and I loved how it turned out. You can see it HERE. Anywho....on to my project today. I made a Jr. Notepad cover. I got the idea sometime back from my bloggy friend Mish. I'm linking you up to Mish's directions on "how-to" make these little cuties, so look HERE. I have made a few of these and I really like how they turn into the cutest little gift! I'm working on a set of note cards to go with this one and then it will be available for sale in my Etsy shop. The "Oh Happy Day" circle is also from the Wild Card cartridge. I didn't have the right color paper to match my DP so I just cut it out on white paper and then colored it with my Copic marker.I cut the base of the cover from Kraft card stock and then decorated it with DP. You can decorate it from outside, inside and then the back too. Also, decorate the top of the notepad with a little strip of paper that matches. You could also use double sided paper and your inside would already be decorated for you! Here's a pic of the back cover...it matches the front cover. By the way, this is Nana's Kitchen paper by DCWV. The whole stack all matches in sections, so there is no guess work when trying to coordinate everything.Oh, the little tree there is also from the Wild Card cartridge, I just laid it on its side so it looks like a branch for the sweet little owl to sit on. I hope you can join in on the challenge this week and if you do, please link it to the BBTB site using the Mr. Linky thingy at the bottom of Monday's post! Be sure to go visit the BBTB site and ooh and aah over all the other designer's creations! WOW!
THANKS for "swooping" in to see me today. I really appreciate all the sweet words you leave for me. Join me next time for more card FUN! HUGS!
