HAPPY WEDNESDAY!

I have one more Christmas card for you from the latest Making Handmade Cards eKit. It's all about the pets in your life and oh boy is it ever Ca-ute! The set is called Christmas Pets. There is background papers and cut outs and sentiments and a bunch more of all kinds of pets and Christmas goodies!

I did some embossing with my Cuttlebug folder and then some stitching around the edges and to make the sentiment pop up a bit I stacked my embossed circles using pop dots then placed the sentiment on the top one.

Happy Holly Days - Making Handmade Cards

Happy Tuesday Friends!

I've got a card today that I made using a new eKit from Making Handmade Cards called Christmas Pets. Oh my goodness, it has the most adorable little critters all decked out for the holidays! I chose a decoupage puppy project for my card today.

I think in this picture you can see the layers. There are only 3 pieces to cut out and then I used pop dots to layer it so you could really see the dimension of it. The decoupage pages come with each of the cuts and directions for what to do. Such a neat idea!
I printed the tag using a font from Scrapnfonts called LD Christmas Troll. Isn't it a cute font? I really like it!
Although my rhinestones look blue in this picture they are actually green. I have lots of glitz going on with this card. I used some Martha Stewart glitter on the Santa hat and then some glitter paper for the snowflakes background. I also used my Cuttlebug snowflake folder for one of the panels too! The punched snowflakes are from a Martha Stewart punch that I got last year after the holidays.

A Very Merry Christmas To You!

Happy Tuesday!

Today I have another Christmas card I made using an eKit called Christmas Original from Making Handmade Cards. This kit is filled to the brim with so many cute papers, elements and sentiments!

This little Christmas tree is just one of many extra cute designs you'll find in the kit. It looks like it was colored with crayons.....I think I may have drawn and colored a tree or two or MANY just like this when I was a kid! LOL!

How about those music papers and the sentiment background papers, too CUTE! I used my Nesties to cut out the circles and rectangles...they make for an easy and fast card to go together! Love 'em!

Of course I love all the kits over at Making Handmade Cards, but this one has got to be one of my favorites.....of course it could be because it's all about CHRISTMAS, my favorite holiday!

Have Yourself A Fairy Little Christmas - Making Handmade Cards

Happy Wednesday!

Well, I have officially started making my Christmas cards for 2009! You will see me posting more and more every day! This one is made using a new eKit from Making Handmade Cards called Christmas Original.

I don't know why, but I seem to be stuck on the non-traditional colors right now....what's up with that? I used real and faux stitching on this card. The faux stitching is done by using the sewing machine with no thread in the needle. I think it's a cool look!

This kit has so many different digi papers, images and sentiments....it's loaded full of Christmas loveliness! I really am enjoying the papers with the worded background, It's like having a sentiment without making it a focal point. (click on pictures for a better view)

Celebrate with Making Handmade Cards

Happy Thursday!

I have another fun little card using the eKit called Happy Flowers by Making Handmade Cards. Remember on the last card I used the flowers with the cute smiling faces? Well, this time I used the plain no faces flowers! So cute!

I cut out each flower head and the leaves and then used some yellow ribbon for the stems! I really like how they turned out!

The little tag that the Kim Hughes celebrate stamp is on is also included in the kit in all sizes so you can choose which one is just right for your card or project!

This is one of the tent topper cards that I love making. The shape alone makes them extra special and not just another ole card! LOL! If you'd like to try one, just start with a 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 card base and then you can use any shape for the topper, but when you adhere it to the card base, make sure you don't make it taller that 5 1/2 inches all together and it will still fit in your envelope! EASY PEASY and oh so CUTE!

Happy Flowers by Making Handmade Cards

Happy Friday Yall!

I am so very glad to show you this card! Aren't these little flowers with smiling faces the cutest thing evah? I think they are! They are from the new digi kit by Making Handmade Cards. The kit is called Happy Flowers.
I made a stair step card that I found the directions to on Splitcoast Stampers...that place is a wealth of information! HERE is the link to how you make it. The sentiment is a Kim Hughes stamp...which I love! *wink*

Making Handmade Cards - Happy Birthday and MY WINNER!

Happy Friday! YAY! We made it to the weekend!

Today I have another fun little card I made using the Glam Bags and Heels eKit from Making Handmade Cards. How fun is this little green purse?
I colored it up with my Copic markers. The cool thing about this kit is, you can print out the images with or without the sentiments! I really like that option!

The background papers I used is from another one of their eKits called Petal Patch. It has papers of all colors. You know what, with these kits...you never run out of your favorite papers!

Broom Ride Anyone?

Happy Hump Day Friends!

I have another Halloween card for you today using a soon to be available digi kit from Making Handmade Cards. I am loving this kit for sure!
I cut the witch out and only glued down the center of the image and left the rest free for a look of movement. I say she's really cutting through the air because the tip of her hat is bent back....whatcha think? Hmmm? LOL!

Just check out this cool paper...its all spooky with Jack-o-lanterns and Happy Halloween all over it. This is my favorite paper in the kit...but there are lots more to choose from as well.

I added a little bit of bat paper on the inside just to tie it all together. I really love decorating the inside of the card as well. Not only does it pretty it up, but it makes the card more sturdy too.

The digi kits that Making Handmade Cards offer are designed to let the crafter use only basic card making supplies to create really wonderful cards. Its all in the paper people!

Happy Halloween From Making Handmade Cards

Happy Thursday To You!

I just love making Halloween cards and today I have one I made from a new kit that will be released soon from Making Handmade Cards. It's their Halloween set and it comes full of digi papers and stamps that you could create Halloween cards till your little heart's content with!

I chose a few papers and the pumpkin and started in creating this fun folding card! I love the Happy Halloween printed paper....it's just so cool looking! And look at that spooky skull paper....Eeeek...scary! LOL!
I perched the fun Jack-O-Lantern atop another one of the ruffled thingies I learned to make not long ago. Doesn't that give a COOL effect? I love those things! Using my Nesties... I just cut out a scallop circle, then cut out the center with a smaller circle, then scored in between the scallops and folded back and forth till my "ruffled thingy" was made! LOL!

Basically all I used was some black and white card stock, a dab of ribbon, a few dew drops and the digi papers from the kit to create my card and I really like how it turned out. Making Handmade Cards digi kits are almost self contained. They are designed to use basic card making supplies so that even the beginner card maker can make lovely cards too!

The Perfect Gentleman - Making Handmade Cards

Hi there and Happy Friday!

I'm here again to show you a few cards that I made using a new kit coming out soon from Making Handmade Cards. The kit is called Perfect Gentleman and WOW is it chocked full of wonderful digi paper, sentiments and elements too! I made two of these cards basically the same and one a bit different. These cards will be for sale in my Etsy Shop real soon!

You might remember seeing this nifty little frame on my brother's birthday card a few posts back. That one was blank, but this one sports this little hefty gentleman looking a bit down I must say, but I do believe he is surely an "Old Chap" as the sentiment says. LOL!

The sentiments are available in several colors of backgrounds and sayings so you can choose just the right one for your card.

Next I chose a rather thin fellow that is looking dapper in his top hat and walking cane and wishing the receiver a Happy Birthday!

I just cut out 3 sentiments and glued them together to make one large sentiment block, then added a bit of black sheer ribbon to spiff it up a bit.

Here's the last card I made using 3 different papers from the kit. I used my Nesties to cut out the circles and then stitched around the outside edge of the card for a bit of added interest.

This card would be for that dashing gentleman in your life, maybe to wish him Happy Birthday or maybe just to tell him how much you love him!

I started all 3 cards on a Kraft Paper base and then just used the digi kit to complete each one. What a neat little set of cards to give to your Mom, sister or girlfriend as a quick, cute gift. Everyone loves handmade.....right?

Happy 95th Birthday Grandpa!

Happy Wednesday my friends! Today I have a very special card to share with you. Last Saturday was my Grandpa's 95th birthday. We celebrated with a family get together, lots of food and lots of laughs too! He loves it when we all gather up at his house and EAT! LOL!

I used a digi stamp from The Cutting Cafe' and digi papers from Making Handmade Cards and Raspberry Road Designs.

I also used my Cricut Expressions and the Makin the Grade cartridge on this card too. Oh and lots of stitching with my sewing machine!

This is just a shot of one of my corner punches I have and don't use very often, but this card needed a little extra sumthin' in the corners, so I drug it out too!

My Brother's Birthday - The Cutting Cafe meets Making Handmade Cards

Happy Friday my friends!

I'm running ever so slightly behind on posting my Friday post. I set the preset post time WRONG! Oooopsie! LOL!

Today I have some wonderful digi papers from Making Handmade Cards and also to compliment the "handsome" papers, I've used some digi stamps from The Cutting Cafe'! The paper set is called "Perfect Gentleman". These few papers I've used here are only a tiny few of what's in this kit.
And look how smart this stamp looks on this blue pinstripe paper. The stamp is from a set called "Extended Family Happy Birthday". After I cut the circle out with my Nesties, I punched 2 holes and threaded the twine through them and tied a bow. Then used pop dots to raise it up off the card base.
See that nifty frame there? It's on a sheet of papers in the PG kit. I trimmed around it by hand. I just love how fancy schmancy it looks!

My brother has got to be the best brother ever....also he's a wonderful Daddy and hubby too! I can always count on him to help me if I ask. Every year I want to make him a special card with lots of love in it....and I really love how this one turned out this year! Oh, BTW...his bday was the 25th and we are 4 years apart, he's the younger of us two. Hugs and smoochies little brother!
