A Guy Valentine.....or Birthday?

Happy Friday!
Well, we made it to the end of the week! YAY! This weekend I have lots of Christmas decorations to put away....I'm gonna miss all my snow people until next year! :(

Today's card is one I created for a guy. I used some digi paper from Raspberry Road and some Cricut cuts too. Sorry, I can't remember which cartridge they are from. Eeeek! I hate when I do that!
This cute cut looks like a dog tag to me. I threaded some fibers that matched the papers through the hole that was on the end just so it didn't look like I forgot to finish it.
I also hand stitched around the border. First I use my machine(minus the thread) to punch the holes, then I use embroidery floss to make the stitches.
I finished the inside of the card as well. I think the inside should be almost as interesting as the front just in case the receiver wants to set it out for all to see! Hee hee!
That's it....one guy card that hopefully stayed masculine and not too frilly with my addition of the rhinestones...couldn't resist a bit of sparkle. Until next time, have a lovely day and go make a card! HUGS!

Pooh and Friends Present - BBTB Challenge

Happy Labor Day to my US and Canadian Friends!

Today is a holiday for most of us American citizens living in the United States! According to Wikipedia, did you know that the first Labor Day celebrated was on September 5, 1882 in NY City? Me either, but you can click on the Wikipedia link and read all about it...interesting!

Okay, on to the new challenge we have going on over at Bitten By The Bug. We are challenged to use the present from Pooh & Friends. How Ca-ute! I made a shaped card, cause I love making them and I needed a neato card for my Daddy's birthday. He loved it and said he was gonna take it to work and show it off.....he always does that! LOL! Speaking of my Daddy, since his bday was back on the 3rd...I wanted to spend a bit of time with him, so I went over to his house Saturday and we just hung out all day doing this and that in the yard and we even worked on my "windshield wiper squirters" to get them working again! I don't know about yours, but my Daddy knows how to do everything! *wink* See that nifty tag there, well that is more of Ms. Regina's talent at work! I used two of her sets to create this tag, the tag shape is from the Frame Journaling Set and the Happy Birthday is from her new set called Big Stuff Sentiments. I used my Printmaster program to join the two together. The bow on the gift is popped up using pop dots and then I tied the tag on using a bit of white twine. Oh and another neato thing about this card is the paper! It's digi paper from Raspberry Road Designs. The set is called Bailly's Room and it all matches so there is never any guess work on my part! YAY! Oh and the best part of this set.....it's FREE!!!! RRD has lots of freebies and also wonderful things for sale too. If you go visit them you won't be disappointed! Please be sure to tell them I sent you if you purchase something!

That's it for today's BBTB Challenge, I hope you've enjoyed my card and all my rantings! Please join me next time for more card FUN! HUGS!

Happy 95th Birthday Grandpa!

Happy Wednesday my friends! Today I have a very special card to share with you. Last Saturday was my Grandpa's 95th birthday. We celebrated with a family get together, lots of food and lots of laughs too! He loves it when we all gather up at his house and EAT! LOL!
I used a digi stamp from The Cutting Cafe' and digi papers from Making Handmade Cards and Raspberry Road Designs.
I also used my Cricut Expressions and the Makin the Grade cartridge on this card too. Oh and lots of stitching with my sewing machine!
This is just a shot of one of my corner punches I have and don't use very often, but this card needed a little extra sumthin' in the corners, so I drug it out too!
I hope you've enjoyed my card for today and also don't forget to sign up for my BLOG HOP PRIZE. See Monday's post for that please! Join me again on Friday for more card FUN! HUGS!

SMILE - BBTB Challenge

Happy Monday my sweet friends!

So did you enjoy your Mama's Day yesterday! We sure did! We had several family members that didn't get to come to our celebration lunch due to illness....nothing serious, but all the same, I missed seeing them! All in all there was lots of great food and happy laughter throughout the day!
Well, you all know by now that Mondays mean a new challenge over at Bitten By The Bug. This week we were challenged to use either the smiling or frowning face from the Cricut Wild Card cartridge. I chose the smiling face! My color combination was inspired my new ribbon pack I just received from The Ribbon Shoppe......WOW! That yummy pink and white striped ribbon was just one of many in the pack! LOVE it!
This is an according fold card that I found the directions to the other day while visiting the Scor-Pal site....you can find the directions HERE. I decided to make mine 5 1/2" tall where theirs calls to be cut to 4 1/4" tall.
I know you've already noticed that yummy big ole orange checked paper! I got that from Raspberry Road Designs, the set is called Forgotten Papers. I don't know about you.....but this card really makes me SMILE! Hee hee hee!
THANKS for popping by to see me today! Have a lovely day! HUGS!

Tic Tac Toe.....3 Hugs In A Row! - BBTB Challenge

Happy Monday!! Well, its time for another weekly challenge from Bitten By The Bug! Your challenge is to use the heart from Doodlecharms!

I combined my hearts with cupcakes and the hugs and kisses frame from THE CUTTING CAFE'. They made a perfect match!
I got this idea when I first saw this hugs and kisses frame. I thought how cute it would be to use cupcakes as hugs. Then when Regina issued the heart challenge....I had my card!
The background paper that I printed the Xs and Os frame on is more yumminess from Raspberry Road Designs. Oh, and I colored the cupcakes with my Copics! The little Xs and Os on the right hand side of the card are cut using my Cuttin' Up cartridge.
That's it for my 3 hugs in a row card! I hope you've enjoyed it! Please visit the other designer's creations over at BBTB and join in on our challenge if you can....it's FUN!
THANK YOU for visiting me today...I truly enjoy all of the lovely comments you leave me! Please join me tomorrow for more card FUN! ♥HUGS♥!

Best Fishes on Your Birthday

Happy Saturday!!! I'm so glad the weekend is here. Here in Texas we had 80 degree weather yesterday, but today we have gusting winds and we won't get out of the 50s. Oh my...the joys of Texas life!!! LOL!

I guess if you were a die hard fisherman you'd go fishing in gusting winds and 50 degree temperatures, but not me....I'm staying in and making cards!!! LOL!!! I made this card for one of my guy cousins that is an outdoors man. I think he'll like it.
I used some DCWV glitter stack paper for the fish and the medallion. The fish are from the Wild Card cartridge and the medallion was made using my Nesties. I printed the sentiment from the computer.
I stitched around the cute blue checkered paper that I downloaded from the Raspberry Road Designs site from a kit called Daisy Dew. If you haven't visited Raspberry Road Designs yet, be sure to go see them...they have LOTS of freebies!!!! I also used a bit of jute to act as the stringer holding the fish.
I used my Prussian Blue cats eye ink to highlight the details in the fish and lastly added a few rhinestones to finish the whole thing off.
That's all for me today....I will be putting away my Christmas decorations this morning and then after I'm finished there, I'll get right to card making!! What do you have planned for today?
Thanks for coming by to see me today. Please join me again tomorrow for more card FUN! HUGS!!!

You're Da Bomb!

Happy Tuesday to YOU!! I hope your new year is going well. I made a resolution several years back to send all of my family and friends a birthday card. At that time I was purchasing my cards. Well, of course everyone loves to receive a birthday card in the mail...but when you send a hand made card....WOW, do they ever love that!!!
Even the guys in my family like it. My cousin's husband that I normally only get to see about twice per year made it a point to tell me at Christmas that he really appreciates my cards that I send to him and the rest of the family. That made me feel so GOOD!!!!
This card is for him...since he was so very sweet and was thoughtful enough to tell me that....I decided that he was "da bomb"! LOL!!! So I made this card for his birthday which was yesterday.
I made the medallion using my new Nesties. The bomb is from the Cricut Indie Art cartridge. I made the sparks with my new K & Co. glitter paper, the dotted paper is Bo Bunny and that yummy checkered paper is some new down loadable paper from RASPBERRY ROAD DESIGNS, the digi kit is called "Daisy Dew". It's not just the papers, you can get the all the embellishments too. Please do check it out...you'll love it as much as I do!!!

That's about all for today...thanks for dropping by to see me. Please join me tomorrow for more card FUN! HUGS!!

Pretty Papers, Pretty Ribbons......

Hello there!!!  YES, I still have Christmas cards to show you....please stay with me....LOL....December is almost over!!!
Of course as you can see...I used more of THE CUTTING CAFE' printable circle stamps.  I cut them out using my Nestibilities round scalloped dies.  These circle stamps cut out at 1", 1 1/2" and 2".  I don't have all those sizes in a circle hand punch...so my Nesties came in really handy when I was ready to cut these out.
Do you see my pretty papers....that's more goodness from RASPBERRY ROAD DESIGNS.  Just print it out and use it......I love it!!!  This is pattern is from the "Christmas Spirit" collection.
I also used some more of my favorite Kaiser pearls.....ya know, I have several colors of these...but for some reason I keep using up all the red ones!!! Hee hee!!!
I used my Christmas ornaments Cuttlebug folder and several of my Martha Stewart border punches too.
If you haven't been over to THE CUTTING CAFE', you really must go check it out.  Regina has two New Years sets available...which you will be seeing from me very soon!!! *wink*
That's all for me...for now....please check back with me later on today.  Jake and I are putting the final touches on my second video which will be posted over on the HALLMARK LADYBUG BLOG as soon as possible.  We got a bit behind with the holidays and all.  So until then, that's it...join me tomorrow for more card FUN!  HUGS!!!

Happy Birthday Jesus!!!!!

Merry Christmas!!! Today we celebrate Jesus' birthday!!! HE is the reason for the season!!! Regina from THE CUTTING CAFE' captured that phrase in this printable circle stamp of hers. This is just one of many in a set.
I added some liquid pearls and glitter to the circles I embossed with my Cuttlebug Christmas Ornaments folder.
See that yummy background paper.....that is paper I printed myself from the RASPBERRY ROAD DESIGNS store. This set is called "Christmas Spirit" There are tons of papers and embellishments in each digi kit. I love it!!!
Here's another one of the circle stamps in the kit offered up over at THE CUTTING CAFE'.
I added lots of bling on this one......Christmas and bling kind of go together....I think!!!

Look at this circle stamp.....cute little house.....I hope you're home for the holidays!!

For this one I added some of my favorite red Kaiser pearls....I should buy stock in these...I think I'm on my 3rd package since I discovered them back in the summer.....see, I told you I love them!! LOL!!!
Here are all 3 cards together.....These were so simple to put together...I just printed out my paper, printed out my circle stamps and assembled.
We celebrated Christmas with my Daddy last weekend and we got a few pictures of me and my guys!!! This is my sweet hubby, Randy. He is my rock and takes such good care of me and the boys!!! I love him to pieces and thank God for him every day!!!
This is my oldest son Justin....he is so funny and usually will not take a normal picture....he always feels the need to make a face or do something funny....but that day he acted "normal" for his Mama!!! What a good kid he is!!!
This is my youngest, Jake. He's scrunching down so I could put my arms around his shoulders. He's so tall and the doctor says he's not done growing yet.....Sheesh!! Hmmmmm, who in the world does he look like? LOL!!
That's it for today, I hope you are enjoying Christmas with your family and friends. May God bless you and yours on this special day!! Please join me tomorrow for more card FUN!!! HUGS!!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!
