Pumpkin Treat Bag and My Blog Candy Winner!

Happy Halloween!

This is my final Halloween project for 2009. It's the Pumpkin Goodie Bag from The Cutting Cafe'. Although my boys are grown up, they still love candy, so I made them a goodie bag full of yummy chocolates.
I used double sided papers so that even when you're peeking in from the side, it's still pretty! I also used some glitter paper for the pumpkin outline on the front of the goodie bag.
I used my Nesties and few stamps out of my stash to created the tags. To keep the bags closed, I placed some big ole eyelets in each corner and then tied some twine through them for a closure. I thought that looked more boyish than ribbon did.
I used some of the little Stampin Up cellophane bags to put the candies in and then stapled them closed. These are really fun to make and easy too. Regina offers the cutting files for your die cutting machine and also the PDF file for cutting them out by hand.
Okay, now to the WINNER of my Blog Candy! I used random.org and the winner is #26, Patti's Scrapinings! YAY! Please email me your snail mail address and I will get your goodies right out to you!
Thanks for dropping by to see me today, please join me on Monday for a new Bitten By The Bug Challenge! HUGS!

SPOOKY Pointed Tag - BBTB Challenge & Blog Hop!

Look what you could WIN just by leaving me a comment!
Happy Monday to All My Bloggy Friends!

So, it's Monday again and its time for a new challenge from Bitten By The Bug. This week Regina asked us to use the pointed tag from the Cricut Stretch Your Imagination cartridge. She also asked us to use a Halloween or Fall theme as well. I decided to make a Halloween banner.
I cut out all my pieces then I started stamping my orange paper with a cheese cloth stamp and brown ink, just to give it a little extra sumthin' to look at. Then I made some paper flowers, added some buttons, ribbon, ric-rac, dew drops, flowers and dots.

After I finished all the pieces, I glued them to a long piece of ribbon....tah-dah, a Spooky Halloween Banner! LOL! Jake will be using this banner to decorate his apartment door for a Halloween contest they are having at the end of this week.....I hope it helps him out!
I hope you can go over and visit the Bitten By The Bug site and just look at all the wonderful creations the other designers made this week....WOW, they are awesome! Now if you are playing along with the blog hop, you should have arrived from the UBER talented Ms. Carole and now to keep playing along.....please hop on over to the wonderfully talented Shelly's blog for more chances to WIN!

♥For a chance to WIN my blog candy up at the top of this post, just leave me a comment by Friday night at midnight my time. I will draw a name using random.org and post the winner on Saturday.

A New BBTB Challenge and A BLOG HOP!

Happy Monday to you all!

Today is BLOG HOP day over at Bitten By The Bug and also since it's Monday, we have a new challenge! This week we are challenged to use the priceless tag from the Cricut Graphically Speaking cartridge.
I can think of many things that are priceless, but one thing that is most priceless to me lately is when my youngest calls me from college just to fill me in on his day.....I love that!
Since he left for college, I've been trying to send him a card here and there just to brighten his day and give him something to find in his mailbox too! LOL! I printed the sentiment out using my Printmaster program and the Gilligan's Island font...it was a freebie I found online.
Cute huh? This little phone is from my newest Cricut cartridge, From My Kitchen, I got it from Hallmark Scrapbook.
It's hard to see in the pics, but the big oval behind the phone is embossed with the numbers Cuttlebug folder which I also got at Hallmark Scrapbook.
Now, I know you you were wondering when I would get to the good part! LOL! This is the blog candy I have for you. I have put together a little card making kit. There is enough card making stuff for 5 cards. I have thought of a few more things to add that's not in this pic...so if you win...there will be a surprise for you when it arrives.
I also added two of my world famous recycled frozen dinner box pumpkins for you to play with as well. (NOTE: They aren't really world famous, but it sounded real impressive.....didn't it?) LOL!
All you have to do is leave a comment WITH YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION! You have till Friday October 2nd to leave a comment and then I will draw a name and post the winner on Saturday. After I contact you, you have 3 days to respond and if you don't, then I'll draw another name.
Okay now hop on over to the wonderfully talented Donna Mundinger and check out her excellent works of art, then keep hopping for MORE PRIZES! Oh and be sure to go see all the other wonderful creations that the other BBTB designers came up with this week!

Digi Stamp Freebie Challenge

Happy Wednesday My Bloggy Friends!

So I was blurfin the other day and I went to visit my friend Curt in Carmel and he is a member of the DT for "There's Magic In The Air" and every Monday they offer a freebie digi stamp. Well, this week's stamp really caught my eye and I had to have it, so when I went over to the site to grab it and saw the prize that was being given away.....well, I had to play along in hopes I might when that beautiful prize! So here's my card! Whatcha think?
Instead of coloring it like I normally would, I decided to do some paper piecing. I haven't done that in a very long time and I really love it and don't know why I don't try it more often. I printed the image three times, first on my card stock, second on the pink gingham and third on the green paper. I cut out only the flower top and the leaves and placed them on the base image.
I added a few rhinestones here and there and then stamped "i love you" (by Kim Hughes), added a bow and tah-dah.....a sweet little snippet card. BTW, a snippet card is the left overs I had of an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper after I cut out a 5 x 5 1/2 card. My snippet card measures 3 x 5 1/2...tall and skinny.
I hope you've enjoyed my card today, please join me tomorrow for a fun little card and some birthday wishes! *wink* HUGS!

A Little Gift For YOU! Shortcuts, BBTB Challenge and Blog Candy WINNER!

Happy Monday! You know what Monday means...right? A new challenge from Bitten By The Bug. This week our sponsor is Shortcuts and we had the privilege of using some of their yummy fun card making supplies!

I chose to use their gift card holder and the frosted card stock to create my little lady bug set with.
The little lady bug is from The Cutting Cafe's set called 4 new background printable stamps (Little Lady).
For the card I used the frosted card stock from Shortcuts....so COOL! I also used lots of scraps from my scrap bin and I even used a bill envelope too!
Our challenge this week is to use either of the flowers from the Cricut George cartridge. I love both of those flowers and I've probably used them more than any other cut in all the cartridges I own.
This is the inside of the gift card holder I decorated to match the card. The gift card holders come ready to assemble and decorate from Shortcuts too! How fun is that? More recycled bill envelopes and scrap bin papers.
I carried the lady bug theme on to the gift card holder as well. Isn't she CUTE? I placed her and the words together in my Printmaster program. I just love Regina's printable stamps!
Now onto the blog candy winner. The winner was chose using Random.org. The WINNER is #98!

Post Pals Card - Dustin Pike's Designs

Happy Tuesday my friends! Did you enjoy your weekend? I sure did, the weather was wonderful and the time off was much needed!

Today's card is for a GREAT cause! I was reading through my blog list the other day and came across Dustin Pike's post for blog candy! He's offering up some YUMMO candy, but he only asks that you send a card to a kid in need of a bit of cheering up! I love these kind of things....it always makes me feel good to do something for a child in need!
I used one of Dustin's freebies he offers on Wednesdays. Isn't he GREAT! I mean what kid is not going to get a kick out of this smiling monkey? LOL!
I colored him with my Copic markers, then cut him out using my Nesties. Oh, see that really cool background paper...it's from Raspberry Road and I love it! The set is called Forgotten Papers. I really love being able to print out these papers that I love any time I need to...it's the coolest thing EVAH!
I had this vine ribbon that matched my little monkey guy so I added a touch of it too! The felt flower is Making Memories and the button is from my newly purchased vintage buttons from Papertrey Ink.
That's it for today...be sure to join in on this GREAT cause for some yummy blog candy...you'll feel better by helping make a kid smile! THANKS for dropping by to see me today! HUGS!

One GIANT Order and a WINNER!

Happy Sunday!

Okay, I know you want to know who won my blog candy, so we will get right to that first! I used Random.org and listed all the names from the comments section, all 113 of them I might add, and the WINNER is Denise. Denise actually got two entries for playing along with the challenge and linking me up to her card. The extra work paid off Denise, congratulations! Please contact me with your snail mail addy so I can get your goodies right out to you!
Now, if you follow my blog...you may remember me mentioning that my youngest son volunteered me to make the Prom invites for his school. Um yeah, he loves his Mama! LOL! I had 80 invites to make and WOW, what a chore! I started out by printing all the top layers, then cut all my card stock to size and then made an assembly line.......literally huh? LOL!
Here's half of them....that's 40 complete invites all stacked in neat little bundles of 10.
That's a LOT of card stock. 20 sheets of white, 20 sheets of blue, 20 sheets of black and 108 yards of adhesive tape.

Here's the final stack of 80 invites! I'm telling you, this is a LOT of work. I enjoyed doing something for the kids though and of course they loved them!
I'm off to do up some cards for assignments, so please join me tomorrow for the new Bitten by the Bug Challenge! THANKS for all your kind comments that you leave me! HUGS!

Thank You Teacher - BBTB Challenge & Blog Candy!

Happy Monday my Sweet Friends!

Well, you know what Monday means.....right? It means there is a new challenge over at Bitten By The Bug! Also, today is a special Monday because several of the design team girlies are giving away blog candy.....and I just happen to be one of them! YAY!!

Okay, on to the challenge for this week. We are challenged to use any cut on the Doodlecharms cartridge...with one detail though...you must use it with the border feature. Cool huh?
I used the apple because I wanted to start making some teacher cards for my Etsy Shop. That time of year is drawing near to where people will need little cards to say THANK YOU to their child's teacher.
I used a Kim Hughes stamp set for the sentiment and the little guy there beside it. Can you tell what the little guy actually is? Hopefully you will see what I saw when I had my stamp set lying there upside down on my desk. He's actually a cupcake! The set is called Tag! You're it! and I got it at Cornish Heritage Farms.
The background is also from CHF, it's called Vintage Ledger. It looked all teacher-ish to me! LOL!
I decided to make a matching bookmark to go with the card. Now come on, what teacher doesn't like bookmarks!
Oh, before I forget to mention it...the A+ is from Locker Talk. I'm really lovin' how cute those apples are! Note to self: Use the border feature on Doodlecharms more often!
If I were a teacher, I think I would love to get this little set from one of my students! LOL!
Okay, so as I mentioned earlier in the post.....I'm giving away some blog candy! Here it is. The only thing I didn't get in the picture is some stamped Tilda images. I was running out of daylight and didn't have time to get them stamped.
Oh yes, you see it don't you......there is a brand new bright and shiny pink Copic marker there along side some vintage buttons and lace from MY stash!
There is also a Bazzill chipboard mini album, some Queen & Co. felt trim and some fun Making Memories tags and such in a lovely shade of purple! Oh and then the Tilda stamped images too!
Okay, be sure to leave a comment for me to be entered for a chance to win my blog candy and then hop on over to sweet Kazan Clark's blog, she's got some candy for you too! Be sure to follow the links and sign up for each one of the designer's candy for more chances to WIN!
NOTE: You can get an extra entry from me if you do the BBTB challenge and leave a link to your project in my comments section here on this post. Deadline to enter for a chance to WIN my candy, is Saturday night at midnight. Have fun and I'll see ya tomorrow with more card FUN! HUGS!
ETA: This contest ended Saturday May 2nd.....SORRY! THANKS for visiting!
