Pinterest Anyone?

{Flag Blocks from Brown Paper Packages}
Happy Friday!
Have you heard of Pinterest yet? No, well you are missing some fun over there! Here's a little bit about how it works:

What is Pinterest?
Think of Pinterest as a virtual pinboard — a place where you can create collections of things you love and "follow" collections created by people with great taste.
People use Pinterest to collect and share all sorts of things -- wedding inspiration, favorite T-shirts, DJ equipment. You name it, people are pinning it.
We know you have great taste in something. Our mission is to make Pinterest the best place for you to share your taste with the world.
{4th of July Toast from Emily Henson}
I'm having tons of fun making my pin boards with all my favorite goodies in them. These photos are from my Red White and Blue board. I loves me some patriotic stuff! :)
{Red, White, and Blue, Berry Kabob Cuppies from Amazing Moms}
With all the inspiration I find over at Pinterest, I will be a busy bee for the rest of the year!  I'm all, "oooh I like that, oooh I want that, oooh I can make that" and on and on! heehee!
{Star Medallion from Martha Stewart}
If you'd like to get hooked like I have, just leave a comment below and I'll send you an invite.  You can look and "oooh and aaah" without signing up, but to play along you'll need to be invited.  I'll just go ahead and apologize now for making you spend hours upon hours of pinning! lol!

Be sure to stop by my house blog for a cold purple treat recipe! Until next time, have a lovely day!  HUGS! :)

Celebrate America - BBTB Challenge

Happy Monday Everyone!! Have you noticed I've been doing alot of patriotic cards lately? Well, I love making patriotic cards almost as much as I do Christmas cards!!! This one was made for this week designer challenge over at the Bitten By The Bug site....Regina asked us to use the offset circles from the Cricut Accent Essentials cartridge....I aslo used the Beyond Birthdays cartridge for the "america" cut and George for the star cut. After I finished this card it reminded me of the Olympic circles...not what I started out with in mind...but that's kinda how it ended up! LOL!! I also used my Martha Stewart zig-zag punch to decorate the bottom edge of the card for added interest and a few buttons and rhinestones too. The "celebrate" is a stamp by Kim Hughes set called "America the Beautiful" which I purchased at Cornish Heritage Farms.
Don't forget my CONTEST for a really neat prize I have going on right now.....You have until midnight my time on July 4th!!! Good Luck!!
By the way.....how do you like the new look of my blog? My youngest son did it for me.....that child has some talent now!!! HUGS and THANKS for stopping by today!!!

Happy 4th.....EARLY - BBTB Challenge

Oh boy am I glad to have my Internet service back.....whew....it's been 4 days without it and I was beginning to have withdrawls....LOL!!! This week Regina from over at the Bitten by the Bug site asked the design team to use the banner from the Cricut Celebrations cartridge.....since the 4th of July is creeping up on us I have been working on my red, white and blue cards. I used some Provocraft and Bazzill papers along with my Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge for the hat......I fashioned an Uncle Sam hat from the Magician's hat. The "happy" is from the Cricut Printing Press cartridge, and the scalloped circle is from the Cricut Mini Monograms cartridge. I used Eddie the Eagle to pose as Uncle Sam....he was a stamp of the month by Kim Hughes that I purchased at Cornish Heritage Farms. For final touches I used some Heidi Swapp brads, misc. ribbon, Rain Dots and lots of Cats Eye Chalk Ink for that distressed look. Be sure to pop over and visit the BBTB site for more fun designs and THANKS for stopping in today....be sure to check back for more cards.....it's AMAZING how much you can get done when you don't have the Internet to distract you...LOL!!!

Uncle Sam...Is that You?? - BBTB Challenge

Happy Monday Everyone!!! Okay, in case you don't already know...I love anything red, white and blue....This week Regina from over at the Bitten by the Bug site asked us to use the sweet little elephant from Zoobaloo and make a project.....for some reason when I read her email I thought right away of making him patriotic!! So, I used Paper Doll Dress Up for the hat.....I turned the magician's hat into Uncle Sam's hat and added a star brad. The ovals are from George, the stamped sentiments are from Kim Hughes' stamp set called America the Beautiful which I purchased at Cornish Heritage Farms, the papers are Basic Gray, DCWV and The Paper Studio....for a little final detail I added some Rain Dots for his eyes, dew drops in red, and a tiny yo yo with a dab of ribbon and a safety pin.....oh and I distressed it all with cats eye chalk ink in chestnut roan. By the way, this is another square card. Don't forget to pop over to the BBTB site and take a look at all the other design team's creations......WOW.....and also, Regina has another CONTEST going on right now.....prizes to be had!!!! THANKS for dropping by and have a wonderful day!!
