Jot it Down - A Mini Album

Happy Monday!
I hope your weekend was awesome! Did you remember to set your clock back one hour? I did! I did the old check, check and double check because if there is one thing that I despise.....it's being late! Even to work! Ha!
Today I have for you a sweet little mini album that I made for my Mama to give to a friend who just had a baby.  That sweet little bundle of joy's name is Abigail...hence the big ole A on the front of the book.

Pin It I used the envelope method to create my album.  I didn't really follow any pattern, I just winged it!  I started out with (6) 5 x 7 envelopes, two pieces of 6 x 6 thick chip board and some oh so cute papers!  Oh and the BEST part.....I used the Jot it Down set from The Cutting Cafe'.  It was just the perfect set to create my little journaling tags for the pockets created by the envelopes.
I also used my Expressions machine and the Cricut Storybook cartridge to make the giant A on the front of the book.  I cut it out 4 times to give the chipboard look.  3 times out of white card stock and once out of my yummy green polka dot paper.
See all my little tags out to the side.  Those are  just a few of the Jot it Down set.  It's a huge set.
When I saw this tag, I knew I had to use it in the front of the book.  Of course I added some bling to give it that girly look.

She is the 3rd child so for the No. tag, I added a 3 and a few flowers with jewels too.
That's my little mini album.  So sweet and girly.  Maybe one day Abigail will grow up and make mini albums for her Mama to give as gifts! *wink*
Thanks for stopping by today. Please come again really soon, but until then...have a lovely day! HUGS! :)

We = Luv CD Mini Album and My Giveaway WINNER!

♥Happy Mama's Day Everyone♥

Yep, today's the day....the day we celebrate the woman who carried us for 9 months and then raised us up to be the Mama's we are today! I love my Mama so much, I don't know if you can ever really tell her just how much you love her....but I sure bet she knows somehow! *wink*
This is the first CD album I've ever made. I made it for a friend at work to give to his wife today from their 3 kiddos! I used BG papers...which I love and my Cricut for the circles, hearts and letters, my Nesties for the photo mats.....and best of all, I used a set of calendars from The Cutting Cafe'!
I made each child their own page with their birthday circled on the calendar and then on the opposite page, their name and room for their sweet face to shine!
This set of BG papers called Sugared allowed me to use boyish colors for the boys and then pinks for the girl. What a great stack of papers!
I also used lots of Prima flowers and dew drops too. Oh, back to the calendars...I used my Printmaster program to place a circle around their birth dates.
These are the last pages...Mom & Dad's birthday's and room for a photo too! I sure hope she likes it!
That's about it for my very first CD mini album. I really had fun making it and I will probably be making another one real soon! THANKS for visiting me today and remember, I really appreciate your sweet comments! HUGS!

GUESS WHAT? I'm super excited to announce that I am this month's Guest Designer for SweetArts Paperie! THANK YOU Krista and Penny for selecting me to showcase your wonderful "Sugar & Spice" kit! Hurry on over, the kits go very fast and they are limited!

Sweet Little Noah

Happy Thursday everyone!! I'm proud to say that I am typing this post on my brand new computer....it finally arrived!!! It sure is nice to have my very own computer again. I just have to get all my stuff loaded back on to this one and I'll be back in business again!! YAY!!!

Today I do not have a card for you.....I have a little mini album that I made for my nephews new baby, Noah. I used a really great tutorial that my sweet friend Sherri wrote and posted over on the Hallmark LadyBug Blog, and you can see it HERE. These are so much fun to make.......I will be making another one some time soon...that's for sure!!!

This little plane and banner are from New Arrival. I used Diamond Glaze to highlight some of the parts on the plane.

I first printed the stats of Noah on the the yellow paper, then decorated it with more fun cuts from New Arrival.
The letters for each month are from Cuttin' Up.
The little icons I used for each month are mostly from Doodlecharms...except for a few.
These little fireworks are from the Wild Card cartridge.

The turkey is from Animal Kingdom.
The Christmas Tree is from Christmas Cheer.
The album has 12 pockets with slide out pages. My idea was for them to take one photo per month of Noah, in the given month of course and then write a little note and slip it in with the photo. What a fun book to read when you are all grown up!!! The sweet little album is all tied up with a ribbon. I used Nana's Kids papers throughout.
Thanks for dropping by to see me today.....I hope you have enjoyed my little Noah album and want to make one of your own.
Please join me tomorrow for more card FUN! HUGS!!!

Don't Make Me Get Out My RED Pen!! - BBTB Challenge

Happy Monday!!! Well it's back to work for me, new year, new duties. My work schedule will entail more hours, so it may be hard for me to create as much as I have been...but we shall see. I won't let you down...I promise! LOL!!

Okay, today I have to show you this sweet little pencil notebook. The challenge this week over at Bitten By The Bug is to use the pencil cut from the Cricut My Community cartridge.
The apple cut is from the Cricut Speaking of School cartridge...cute huh? I wanted a really cute saying for the front of the notepad, so I surfed the Internet until I found the one I liked. This saying cracks me up. Can't you just imagine your child's teacher using this threat? LOL!
Here's the inside. I decided to dress it up too.....I mean, if the teacher is using it....she will have it opened up like this a lot, right? The piece of notebook paper on the upper cover was cut from My Community as well. The whole little pad is held together using my Bind-it-all.
I used another teacher quote on the inside too. The fonts are Jenkins and Porky's. I stuck with these two fonts throughout...just for consistency.
The "school is cool" is also from the Speaking of School cartridge. Now most kids don't think school is cool.....but hopefully the teachers do!!
It's VERY hard to photograph, but I used hallo graphic paper along the top of the pencil for the metal piece that hold the eraser on. The eraser is some yummy pink Doodlebug glitter paper. (also hard to photograph). The rest of the papers are a jumbled mix...I used a lot of different ones to achieve this look. LOL!! The final thing I wanted to mention is the scalloped circle. Its done using my Spellbinders Nestabilities die. You can emboss them with the same die you cut with and it give the neatest most finished off look. I'm finding myself using this technique every time now...I can't NOT use it!!! LOL!!

THANKS for dropping in to see me today...please hop on over to the BBTB site and see all the other wonderful creations by the rest of the design team and join in if you can!!!

Please join me tomorrow for more card FUN! HUGS!!!!!

A Pazzles Prom Book

Well.....here we are again.....It's Prom time and I have two Prom books to make.....the one shown here is for Stephanie, my girl friend's daughter....her date will be wearing a black and white tux and she will be wearing a white dress.......so I made the book to match. The actual book was cut out using my Pazzles Inspiration machine and the Word Books CD. I used black card stock for the base and then cut out the letters in a printed paper.....then added some Sizzix Rub-ons, Prima flowers, Tim Hotz Grungeboard, pom-poms and some rhinestones for a little more pizzaz!! I made 4 extra pages so she would have more space for pictures....on each page I added a little embossing with my Cuttlebug and 7 different embossing folders....a different one for each page. I used my Bind it All to bind everything together, then added lots of ribbons to finish it off...I sure hope she likes it!!!! Thanks for stopping in today!!!
