3D Pumpkin Tag

Do you ever give little gifts of baked goodies during the holidays?  Like maybe a loaf of yummy pumpkin bread?  This would be a cute tag to attach to it.

Or it could be used for your scrapbook page for the Thanksgiving holiday too.  So many different ideas.

I created the pumpkin using my round scalloped Nesties.  It took 4 circles.  I scored them in the middle and then glued them together to create the 3D look.

Sometime I love using the non traditional colors of a season to create my paper goodies.  Sometime we just have to be different huh?  By the way, the Thankful stamp is a Kim Hughes stamp.  Love her!

Happy Harvest Pumpkin Tag

Are you ready for Thanksgiving and all its yummy food?  My favorite part is my Mama's dressing and of course the fact that I get to see all my family in one place!  I've been playing in my craft room again!

I made this little tag using Kraft card stock, a couple of stamps and some recycled paper for the pumpkins.  Everything I used was left over scraps.  I love using up my scraps!

The happy harvest stamp is a Kim Hughes stamp and the big flower stamp is a foam stamp I got at Hobby Lobby forever ago.  I used my Nesties to make the pumpkins.  You can go HERE to see how I make them.

This tag is 6" x 2 1/2" and is for sale in my Etsy shop with lots of other holiday goodies!

O Christmas Tree Tag

Happy Wednesday! 

I am so glad its mid week! This week is flying by quickly because I've been so busy! That's good...right? Of course that only means Christmas is approaching faster and faster! Oh dear! lol!

This sweet little tag was created almost completely with all scraps. I love when I can clear out my scrap bin some.

I ran the green strips through my snow flake cuttlebug folder to add a little more texture to the already textured card stock.

Then I added some sweet red punched flowers and centered each of them with a clear rhinestone. So sweet!

The background paper acts as my sentiment this time.  Don't you love it when that happens? :)  I sure do!

Lastly I topped the tree with a vintage button and added some baker's twine for the hanger.  This little cutie is for sale in my Etsy shop if you're interested.  Please take a look in my shop for other fun Christmas goodies too!

Loopy Felt Flower Ornament

Happy Friday!

It's finally the weekend and I have big plans of getting all my Christmas shopping done tomorrow! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Today's project is a FUN one and I got the inspiration from Split Coast Stampers.  I subcribe to their channel on YouTube and I found it on there.  It's called a Loopy Felt Flower.

Pin It To make the felt flower, you need felt of your choice, a sewing machine, scissors and hot glue.  I had all these things in my stash, so I immediately had to make one!  Cut your felt into strips that measure: 2" x 8", 1 1/2" x 4" and 1" x 3" and then a circle of about 1 1/2".

Fold each strip of felt in half the longest ways and machine stitch close to the edge on all 3 strips.  Then using your sharp scissors, snip little sections from one end to the next, being careful not to snip your stitching thread.

Lay down your felt circle with a bit of hot glue on the outside edge and place one end of the longest strip down and start working in a circular manner until you get to the end.  Layer up the next two strip using longest first then the short one.

Finally you have a beautiful loopy felt flower to doll up!  I added a snowman charm (of course) and some yummy gingham ribbon to mine.  Then I put the whole thing on a scalloped circle and added baker's twine for hanging.

I added this little beauty to my Etsy shop, but it flew out of there really fast! Sorry!  I'm hoping to get some more done before Christmas...no promises though!

Pretty Poinsettia Tag

Happy Wednesday!

Baby it's COLD outside! Brrrr! We've had snow already this week and some very cold temps to go with it! It's definitely winter here in Texas!
Today I have another fun little Christmas tag for you.  I used a sentiment from The Cutting Cafe' set called December Daily 2.  It's loaded with FUN! Please do go check it out!

I printed it out on Kraft card stock then cut it out with my Nesties, added a few red rhinestones and then topped off my tag with it.

I made the ruffled center piece by cutting a strip of the poinsettia paper.  Then using one of my Martha Stewart punches, I punched along one edge.  Then I carefully scored in between each scallop, folded back and forth and then glued it to the scalloped piece of card stock you see behind it.  Lastly I centered it with a vintage button.

You can make these without using the punch along one edge, but I think they are really pretty with it and it also gives you an easier guide for your scoring and folding.

These are simple to make, but look a bit elegant when you are finished in the end.  I made two different sizes and both are for sale in my Etsy shop right now!

A beautiful tag can dress up a plain bag or wrapped gift and make it so much more special to the receiver.  I can imagine using this tag on a plain Kraft paper bag or maybe even a gift wrapped in the brown shipping paper. That would be GORGEOUS under the tree!

Happy Snowman Tag

Happy Friday!

Yay we made it to the weekend! Actually my week has flown by because we have been so busy at work. I guess that's a good thing huh?  Well, it's getting cooler and we have rain this morning! I love it cuz we sure do need it!

In case you didn't know, I LOVE SNOW PEOPLE!  I always have to make something with a snowman on it each holiday season, this year I've already made many!

This cute little guy is from my Cricut Doodlecharms cartridge.  I've used this cut lots of times over the time I've owned this cartridge.

I used the Cricut George cartridge for the actual tag and cut it out of Kraft card stock, then I just searched through my scrap bin for the papers I wanted to use.

The fur and pompom on his hat is covered in turquoise Stickles for a little added bling!  I also used Kaiser pearls for his eyes and rain dots for his buttons.  Oh and I added some orange Stickles to his nose since he had pearl eyes! lol!

I also added a few punched Martha Stewart snowflakes and topped them with Kaiser pearls too. They are punched out of Kraft and then edged with some chestnut roan chalk ink. 

Lastly I tied some light blue and white baker's twine on for the hanger.  This little sweet guy is for sale in my Etsy shop along with several other tags and cards if you're needing some for the holiday's gift giving!

Christmas Tags

Happy Monday!

It is so fun to create Christmas Tags! I had a request from one of my regular Etsy customers to make some Christmas tags, so that's what I did!  I used The Cutting Cafe's set called December Christmas Daily for the little "sentiments" on them.
I also used my Cricut Expressions machine and some of my Christmas cartridges too. I had lots of fun!

I just used scraps of holiday paper from years past and put together whatever I thought looked cute!

I also used some baker's twine for the tassels on top of each tag, just in case they needed to be hung from a gift or package of goodies!

Of course I couldn't resist using some of my old book pages again, just love the look I guess!  So, be sure to get on over to The Cutting Cafe for lots of Christmas fun, Regina has some of THE cutest printables and cutouts you've seen around the web!  There are a few of theses tags left in my Etsy shop if you're interested!

Jot it Down - A Mini Album

Happy Monday!

I hope your weekend was awesome! Did you remember to set your clock back one hour? I did! I did the old check, check and double check because if there is one thing that I despise.....it's being late! Even to work! Ha!
Today I have for you a sweet little mini album that I made for my Mama to give to a friend who just had a baby.  That sweet little bundle of joy's name is Abigail...hence the big ole A on the front of the book.

Pin It I used the envelope method to create my album.  I didn't really follow any pattern, I just winged it!  I started out with (6) 5 x 7 envelopes, two pieces of 6 x 6 thick chip board and some oh so cute papers!  Oh and the BEST part.....I used the Jot it Down set from The Cutting Cafe'.  It was just the perfect set to create my little journaling tags for the pockets created by the envelopes.

I also used my Expressions machine and the Cricut Storybook cartridge to make the giant A on the front of the book.  I cut it out 4 times to give the chipboard look.  3 times out of white card stock and once out of my yummy green polka dot paper.

See all my little tags out to the side.  Those are  just a few of the Jot it Down set.  It's a huge set.

When I saw this tag, I knew I had to use it in the front of the book.  Of course I added some bling to give it that girly look.

She is the 3rd child so for the No. tag, I added a 3 and a few flowers with jewels too.

That's my little mini album.  So sweet and girly.  Maybe one day Abigail will grow up and make mini albums for her Mama to give as gifts! *wink*

Winter Woodland Bunny - BBTB2 Challenge

Happy Monday Friends!

Here I am again with a new challenge from Bitten By The Bug 2. This week the sweet Melissa Kirwan asked us to use the rabbit cut from the Cricut Winter Woodland cartridge. I remember when I first got my WW cartridge I noticed this cute bunny and said to myself what a awesome Easter bunny this would make! So, I decided to make an Easter tag this week.

The cute little bunny is just a few cuts layered up to create a real dimensional look. I also used the shadow cut to finish the piece.

The "E" is also from the WW cartridge. I just love that font...it's so pretty and elegant looking!

Lastly I tied a big purple bow around the tag and then added a Prima flower with a velvet brad for the center. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you that the actual tag itself was cut using good ole George. I have no idea what I'd do without that cartridge! LOL!

Now on to today's giveaway! Regina, the owner of The Cutting Cafe' has allowed her designers to give away a set of her wonderful new releases. I've chosen to use a few of the Halloween goodies she's designed. The sets are called Halloween Labels and Halloween This and That.
This one is from Halloween This and That set. I wanted it to really stand out, so I just ran piece of black Bazzill through my Halloween Cuttlebug folder, added a black and white checked bow and left it at that!
Next I made 3 little tags that could be used for scrap booking, gift bags or maybe just as a decoration. The back of each tag has lined paper for your notes or sentiments. I used some of my frozen dinner boxes and an old newspaper to design these tags. I used both sets of printable stamps for the tags.
To create the tag shape, I used my Cricut George cartridge and cut them out at 5". I used a Cuttlebug flower die to cut out my newspaper flowers, aren't they fun? The tiny black flowers are from my new EK Success punch I just found at Joann's thanks to my sweet friend Teri Beri!
This one features a circle stamp from the Halloween This and That set. These little tags and the card will be for sale in my Etsy Shop soon!

Pretty Tag - More SweetArts Paperie

Happy Sunday to you! I'm enjoying my only day off this week...I think I'll just create all day long! Aaaahh, my favorite thing to do!
