I see spots! It's A Polka Dot Bird House!

 Happy Monday!
So I ask you.....have you ever seen a polka dot bird house? Me either until I made this one for my sweet Mama for Mama's Day!  She loves purple so I went and scouted out some purple-ish papers and got to work.  These little houses are a lot of work, but so darn worth it when your finished!
I started with the naked bird house that I got from Michael's and then of course did the easy parts which was the roof and trim. Then to cover the front and back took a little measuring to get just right.
The flowers and bird are Cricut cuts. I made several layers for the bird so it would be sure to stand up there on the perch.  I just cut several different sizes of the flower, layered them and put them all together with a tiny brad.
I also decorated the top with some purple pom-poms and white vintage buttons.  I didn't really like seeing the seam where the papers came together there.
I added lots of bling!  These tiny itty bitty rhinestones gave me fits going on, but I stuck with it and got them all in place. The swirly paper reminded me of shingles, that's why I picked it out first and then built around it.
Lastly I added the pom-poms on the corners, the rain drops across the front and then put a little bit of faux moss in the door way to make it more real looking.

That's it for today, just a little break from making cards to do up something fun for my Mama! I hope you enjoyed it, please come again.....but until then, have a lovely day! HUGS! :) Oh! Don't forget to visit my house blog, there's a new recipe posted and its Yummy!
