Okay, today I have to show you this sweet little pencil notebook. The challenge this week over at Bitten By The Bug is to use the pencil cut from the Cricut My Community cartridge.
The apple cut is from the Cricut Speaking of School cartridge...cute huh? I wanted a really cute saying for the front of the notepad, so I surfed the Internet until I found the one I liked. This saying cracks me up. Can't you just imagine your child's teacher using this threat? LOL!
Here's the inside. I decided to dress it up too.....I mean, if the teacher is using it....she will have it opened up like this a lot, right? The piece of notebook paper on the upper cover was cut from My Community as well. The whole little pad is held together using my Bind-it-all.
I used another teacher quote on the inside too. The fonts are Jenkins and Porky's. I stuck with these two fonts throughout...just for consistency.
The "school is cool" is also from the Speaking of School cartridge. Now most kids don't think school is cool.....but hopefully the teachers do!!
It's VERY hard to photograph, but I used hallo graphic paper along the top of the pencil for the metal piece that hold the eraser on. The eraser is some yummy pink Doodlebug glitter paper. (also hard to photograph). The rest of the papers are a jumbled mix...I used a lot of different ones to achieve this look. LOL!! The final thing I wanted to mention is the scalloped circle. Its done using my Spellbinders Nestabilities die. You can emboss them with the same die you cut with and it give the neatest most finished off look. I'm finding myself using this technique every time now...I can't NOT use it!!! LOL!!
THANKS for dropping in to see me today...please hop on over to the BBTB site and see all the other wonderful creations by the rest of the design team and join in if you can!!!
Please join me tomorrow for more card FUN! HUGS!!!!!
