Happy Saturday to YOU!!!! It seems with all my other "stuff" going on that I never get to my 2S4Y challenge till Saturday....better than not at all I guess. Up above is Kazan's sketch #11.....the minute I saw this I knew I wanted to use a flower for the circle in the lower left hand corner.
This is a card and little photo holder I made for my son Jake's friend Stephanie....she loves pink and brown, so I dug through my papers till I found some...it's by The Paper Studio. A whole bunch of friends will be going out to eat and to a haunted house to celebrate with Stephanie tonight. See those balloons...they are from the Cricut Celebrations cartridge and I covered them in Diamond Glaze and used fibers for their strings.
Here's a close up of the cupcake that I cut out using the Cricut Doodlecharms cartridge.....After I applied the tiny little rhinestone hearts...I covered it in Diamond Glaze, let it dry overnight and then applied a rub-on....it worked real well!!
This is the little photo holder....it's an extra large binder clip...you can get these at the office supply store. I covered it in some coordinating paper and then added the little ball fringe on both sides....I made it two-sided (Oooooops...I forgot to take a pic of the other side). To make the photo mat...I used the Cricut Storybook cartridge...I cut 2 shadows and 2 regular cuts and when I cut the shadows out, because I wanted to place them back-to-back...I used the FLIP feature on my Expressions so they would match up perfectly....and they did!!! LOL!!! I lastly cut out an "S" from the Storybook cartridge too and then tied a tiny pink gingham check ribbon on the "neck" of the holder......by the way.....I saw these all over Etsy and thought I needed to try it for myself!!!
So there ya go....a sweet little card and a tiny gift (Jake did get her something else) to match and Jake will be off to "go eat and get scared" tonight!!! LOL!! Be sure to pop over to 2 Sketches 4 You and check them out....there are prizes to be had!!!! I'm off to help my SIL move some furniture out of her house....be back later on this evening to show you what I baked up this morning for the kiddos!!! HUGS!!!!
