I know I don't normally post on the weekends, but today I have some FUN for you! I am participating in a blog hop with other crafters around the bloggy world that features Mother's Day projects. How fun is that?
Of course I created a
card for the occasion. It's a really happy green sparklee card to celebrate that special Mama in your life!
I used one of my mini cupcake liners to create this little embellishment. I just flattened it out and scrunched it in the center and then topped it with a white vintage button tied up with green and white baker's twine and a little 'love' tag stamped with a Kim Hughes stamp.
I also added some gathered crepe paper to the top with a little line of pom-poms. To gather the crepe paper, I used my sewing machine to run some gathering stitches and then tied a knot on one end and then pulled the other end to gather it. I gathered it until I got just the right length for my card and then glued it on to the card front.
I used a digi stamp from The Cutting Cafe' called Mom Word Block and I turned it to the shade of green I needed by using my Printmaster program. I love this shade of green...don't you? :)

Mothers Day Gift Baskets Hampers
Very creative of you to use a cup cake paper and crepe paper for the embellies, but then you're always very creative with your new-use ideas! I'll certainly file that away for a future project! Love all the green. Great card girlie!
