I made Prickly Pear jelly back in the summer so I could give it at Christmas this year. I love giving homemade gifts at Christmas time, and I believe my family and friends love receiving them too!
This is my jelly. Look at how the color varies in each jar from the light going through it. It was actually all the same color. I love this picture!
This is the little tag I made for each tiny jar of red loveliness! I made them using my Printmaster program, my home printer, kraft paper, red and white card stock, a few of my Nesties, a tiny flower punch, a rhinestone and some jute for hanging it.
These are the tiny little Christmas tree ornaments I made to go along with the jellies. They are made with fabric yo-yos and real pine tree trunks and bases that a friend of mine help me cut and sand nicely! I made the yo-yos myself!
This is the whole little package I gave away. I went to our local feed store and bought the burlap feed sacks for $2 each. It only took one sack to make (12) 10 x 10 squares. Oh, BTW...I washed, dried and ironed the burlap before I used it.
I loved the reactions from my family and friends. A few of them let me know that the jelly was wonderful! YAY!
Until next time, have a lovely day! HUGS!
