Remember This?

Happy Wednesday my friends! Do you remember ever seeing some initials scratched into a tree or on some other surface they shouldn't have been? LOL! Well, I got this idea when I saw this heart on my Printmaster program the other day.
I needed an anniversary card for my cousin and I thought this would be cute for them. I used a free font called 8 year old handwriting just to give it that "scratched in" look. I used dew drops in shades of brown around the edge of the heart.
I tried to make it sweet and girly and also a bit masculine for both of them. How'd I do? I really like how it turned out. The papers are from my scrap bin, the ribbon I got at Hobby Lobby, the flowers are Prima and the button is from my stash....and that's about it! LOL!
THANKS for visiting me today and I'll see you back here on Friday! HUGS!

Adorable.... And I think when I was in the 8th grade I scratched the initials in the tree by our house CL and JM in a big heart. My mother was furious because I had grabbed up one of her fav knives. I imagine the tree is long gone now, and the lot filled with homes with red shingles.
