Valentine Cat and Hearts Cards Using Freebies From BeBetsy.com

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and just in time for Love Day you can find these adorable Freebie Downloads over on BeBetsy.com!  Click HERE to get your free copy of these adorable Valentine Cat and Hearts that Sharon designed!
Here's one of the two cards I made with these sweet cat images.  I simply downloaded the freebies, printed them out on some heavy white card stock, cut out the images I wanted to use and went to assembling the little card.  This card measures the standard 5 1/2 x 4 1/4".  The stamp is an old one from Kim Hughes.
Here's the second card I made.  It's also the standard 5 1/2 x 4 1/4".  I think this one is my favorite one!  I did a little machine stitching on this one and also did some stamping along the bottom as well.  The I love you stamp is also a Kim Hughes and the kitty foot prints is an old Craft Lounge stamp set.

A big thank you to Sharon and Denise for sharing these cute prints for all of us cat lovers to play with!

Thanks for stopping by today. Please come again really soon, but until then...have a lovely day!  HUGS! :)

Simple Guy's Birthday Card

This is a very simple guy's birthday card using all scraps. I made this one for my guy's birthday this year.  I don't think the scalloped heart is too much, do you?
I just grabbed some matching blue papers from my scrap bin, cut them into strips and glued them to the card base made of Kraft card stock.  Blue is my guy's favorite color, so the color choice was easy.
The Happy Birthday stamp is a Kim Hughes stamp that I've had forever and I love it and I use it ALL THE TIME!
The heart is made using my Nesties and a page from an old hymnal I have.  Love using the old book pages on my cards.  I placed the heart on the card with some foam tape to raise it up off the card base a bit.
He loved it of course. Guy cards are hard to do and not make too frilly, but I find that simplicity is best when creating a card for guy.

Thank You Cards Using Lawn Fawn Stamps

When I last posted I told you I was working on Christmas cards.  I was and I made a few, but I just never got around to posting them darn it!

Do you send out Thank You cards after receiving all your Christmas gifts?  I try to, so this year I made a few "thanks" cards using a few goodies I actually received for Christmas.  Thank you Mama!
This card is the standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".  This little stamp set is from Lawn Fawn and its called Winter Sparrows.  I also got the die cuts that go with the set to make it even more fun to use!  The "thanks" was cut out using my Cricut Expressions machine and the Calligraphy Collection cartridge.  I cut 3 layers to make it stand up off the card front.  It's cut at 2".
I used my Copic markers to color the little sparrows and then used foam tape to pop them up off the card.  The paper is out of my scrap bin and the pom pom trim is from my stash.
Next up I used another Lawn Fawn stamp set called Winter Penguin and the die cut that goes with him.  The snow flakes on the background are also in the set as well.  The "thanks" is the same as above, but its cut at 3" this time.
Again I used my Copic markers to color him in.  He's adhered to the card using foam tape and I tried to make it look like he was skating on the top of the "T".  These stamps are tiny and very hard to color inside the lines if you're blind like me!  LOL!  I tried though!

More Recycled Pumpkins Card

I know Thanksgiving is over, but I have one last Thanksgiving card for the month. This is another scrappy card of mine! Love those!
This card has 7 different papers used on it!  That may be a record for me! LOL!  I used lots of scraps though!
As I stated in the title, I have more recycled pumpkins here.  They are so fun to make though!  See how to make them HERE
I love using old book pages and I used it two different ways on this card.  One as a background and one using a Martha Stewart punch for the little leaves.
These little layered cards are fun to do.  Lots of elements to look at and fun for others to try and figure out how you did it! LOL!  Oh scrappy little card, you are so full of Fall!

I've been working on Christmas cards, so stay tuned!

Recycled Nestie Pumpkin Card

Here's another little scrappy card using all scraps from my scrap bin.  Might as well use those scraps up huh?  It's either that or throw them away and well, I just can't bring myself to do that most times!
I got my idea for this card HERE.  Such a simple and clean design.  I love it!
The pumpkin is made using a frozen dinner box I saved from years back.  See how I make the pumpkin HERE.  The one shown above is a bit different using 5 pieces, but its all along the same lines.  I used some chalk ink to shade the edges of each piece.
The sentiment is a Kim Hughes stamp from way back when.  I've used this set so much over the years but it's still perfect for card making!
Just a simple card that would be fun to give to that special someone you want to let know you were thinking about them this holiday season.  Yep, its for sale in my Etsy shop!
