3 Button Snowman Card and Christmas Nail Designs

Merry Christmas! 

So are you ready for the big day? We are.  All the presents are purchased, wrapped and under the tree!  It's a nice feeling to have so we can relax and enjoy our family this holiday season.

Today I wanted to share with you a sweet little card I made using old vintage buttons.  It's no secret that I love snow people and of course I had fun creating this little guy!  I created another similar tag idea HERE.  That little tag has been a huge hit on Pinterest.  It's heartwarming to me to see one of  my creations spread like wildfire on a site I have so much fun with! :)

I first stamped the Kraft card stock with an old Stampin' Up set I have and then I added the buttons with a bit of glue.

His little hat is just a few scraps of black card stock, a Martha Stewart punch for the leaves and some red seed beads for the berries. I also added a bit of clear glitter for "snow" on his hat.

Lastly I added a bit of red and white baker's twine for his tie and I was done.  It's very easy to put together!

Isn't he the cutest?  This would be a very simple card to mass produce...I think! LOL!

I also wanted to share with you some of my holiday nail designs I've worn this year.  This first one I saw on Pinterest HERE and then went to the nail salon and told them, "I want this design!" They were happy to oblige me!

This one I did myself, its a few coats of Sally Hansen's "Flirt" and then I added one coat of Confetti's "Tazmanian Devil" to my ring fingers.

This is the one I'm currently wearing, I just did this design yesterday as we watched movies.  First I did a french tip with Orly's "Star Spangled" and then I added 2 coats of the Confetti's "Tazmanian Devil".  Its very sparkly and shiny in real life!

Welcome Baby

Happy Monday!

I hope you are all doing well this fine day! It's been brrrr cold here in Texas and the only thing I like about the cold is I get to use the fireplace! YAY!

I have a sweet little card to show you today.  My cousin needed a baby shower card so I whipped this one up for her.  I got my idea HERE.  What an adorable idea Janet, thanks!

I used my Cricut cartridge called New Arrival to cut out the baby stroller.  Too stinkin' adorable I tell ya! :)

I made the banner using my home printer and a little scrap of pale purple paper.  You can customize any card or project using the fun and easy method of printing on scrapbook paper.  Loves it!

To make the stroller top, I scored my paper at 1/4" intervals until I had a piece the size I needed.  It was a bit tricky getting it glued down and in the right place....but I finally got it!

Really all in all its a simple card to put together. It looks like a lot of details, but its actually not.  My cousin loved it and so did the friend she gave it to. YAY!

Gnome Way! You Are 70?

Happy Saturday!

Don't you just love gnomes? I do.  I actually purchased Freshly Picked just for the gnomes! I think they are adorable.

I needed a card for my Daddy's 70th birthday and I remembered I had pinned one with a gnome on it because it was so darned cute! You can see it HERE.  Thank you Mel!

Since all the pieces were very small and not a lot of paper was needed, I just used scrap papers from my scrap bin.  Eventually I had created Papa Gnome!

I used my little alphabet stamps to spell out the "gnome way!"  I think I paid a $1 for that stamp set at Michael's many years ago and it seems like I use them quite a bit. I love the font.

For the little flag that reads "you are 70?" I printed that off on to the kraft paper using my Printmaster program and my printer.  That little trick I leaned so very long ago certainly comes in handy almost every time I create a card!

My Daddy got a kick out of the pun on words and I was happy it made him smile on his birthday.
