Vintage Christmas - A Mother's Love

Happy Monday!
This card was fun to do. Let's see.....there's my hand stitching, the little paper flowers I made from an old book page, gorgeous crystals and of course, one of Peggy's vintage images from her Christmas collection! EDITED TO ADD: Click HERE for a chance to win a FREE image!

After I finished this card, I thought to myself....My Mamaw would have loved this card. Her favorite color was blue and she loved Christmas just as much as I do! Oh how I miss her. We always had so much fun decorating her tree every year. She had the neatest old ornaments that I always wished could be mine.
This image is just so pure and speaks Christmas to me right away. The moment I saw it I actually gasped and then said, yep....gotta make a card with this one! It's hard to see, but the little lines and holly leafs around the image is gold. And isn't that sleeping baby the sweetest little thing? So precious!
Love me some pretty clear crystals. Of all the colors you can buy these days, I always love the clear ones. They sparkle like no other!
Here's a close up of the paper flower. I used my Nesties and punched 3 circles, two scalloped and one regular. I scrunched them up and then sandwiched the plain round one in between the two scalloped ones, then glued them to my card. Not sure how they will fair being put in an envelope to be mailed, but I bet they can be fluffed right back up with just a bit of help from the receiver!
That's one more Christmas card down.....no telling how many more I need though. I gotta get crackin' on my holiday cards or I'll never make it in time!

Until next time, have a lovely day! HUGS!
