So with our cooler weather upon us, I thought I'd throw a "warm" card into the mix! Hee hee! I'm always needing a birthday card, so I try and keep a few made up. This is a great vintage summer image from Peggy Loves Vintage. I used a sketch from Kazan and Laura's 2S4Y site. (It's a great "go-to" site for sketches!)
I layed the card down and snapped this picture, just so you could see the right hand edge better. I added some of the blue paper inside the card, under the scallops, so it would match the outside a bit better, rather than the plain ole white glaring back! :)
I added a rub on and some rhinestones just to jazz it up and make it more girly too! I also scuffed up the edges of the card stock that backs the image. I love doing that!
Here you can see the inside of the card. I always try and carry the papers I used on the front of the card to the inside, just to tie it all together!
Please go visit Peggy's blog HERE for a chance to win a FREE vintage image! Until next time! Have a lovely day! HUGS!
Hi DeeDee, great card! I love how you ran the background paper through the center. It kind of even looks like a beach towel! You created an awesome card.
