Frozen Dinner Box Pumpkin How-To Step By Step & My Blog Candy Winner!

WARNING! This post may make you hungry! I know it did me while I was editing the pics! LOL!
If you joined me this past Monday, you may have noted the tiny detail of me giving away a few of my "world famous" dinner box pumpkins?!?!?? (Along with some card making goodies) Well gosh, I had loads of requests asking me, "How'd you do that?" So here's my little pictorial for ya on how to make them.

You will need recycled frozen dinner boxes in orange and green for this project. Yes, I'll wait while you run to the freezer to check to see what color yours are! LOL!
I take these yummy dinners to work for my lunch, so I have loads of them that I've saved. I really hate throwing them away when I know I can use them for SOMETHING!
You will need the following items as well:
Jute
Zip Dry Glue
Small oval Nestie
Color Box Chalk in chestnut roan
Cuttlebug with a flower stem and leaves die
Cut three (3) ovals from the orange box
Cut one (1) small leaf from the green box
Now you should have 3 ovals and 1 leaf
Use your cats eye chalk and ink the edges of all 4 pieces
Take one oval and place a small amount of glue on the inside edge
Lay the second oval on top of the first oval as shown here
Now glue up the back of the third oval and lay on top center of the other two
Now add your leaf to the top center
Lastly, cut a small piece of jute and glue it beside the leaf and you are done. You've made your first frozen dinner box pumpkin! Woohoo!
You can see these little pumpkins in action HERE. I have a few more projects using them that I will post in a few days.
Now for my blog candy WINNER! I used random.org to draw the name and the winner is:
Congratulations Melissa, please email me your snail mail addy and I will get your goodies to you ASAP! THANKS to all who played along! I hope you've enjoyed my pictorial today. Remember, if you make a frozen dinner box pumpkin, please link me up so I can see it! Join me Sunday for another giveaway! HUGS!

  7. I laughed out loud when I read this! What a great recycling idea! However, those look way to healthy for me to eat, so you know I don't have any of those in my freezer! I guess I'll have to stick with my spam cans to qualify me as a recycled food item! Cute pumpkin! Hope you are well! Best, Curt
