Happy Monday!
Even though my boys are way past the back to school age, I have noticed all the school supplies and clothing store specials and kiddos getting back to school haircuts and of course all the TV advertisements, so I decided to create a back to school card for the occasion. It's for sale in my Etsy shop if you're interested. {SOLD}I used a Peggy Loves Vintage image from believe it or not, one of her Santa collections. This little girl is just adorable and when I saw her I immediately thought of using her in a back to school card.
I've been having fun using old book pages and this time I've created some really simple little flowers. I cut strips of paper about an 1 1/2" wide and 4 1/2" long, crumpled them up length wise and then rolled and wrapped using hot glue till I got to the end.
This is a sentiment from one of The Cutting Cafe's sets called School Days. There are several images and sentiments in this set. I've used mine several times now.
As you can see I used more of the book pages to create a background for the image. The possibilities are endless when it comes to old book pages. They are so much fun! If you haven't tried using old book pages on your cards yet, you just gotta getcha some to play with!
That's my back to school card for today. Thanks for dropping by to visit me. Please come again, but until then, have a lovely day! HUGS!
