Book Page Wreath - A Pinterest Challenge

Hi there! The other day while visiting one of my very favorite blogs called The Lettered Cottage, Layla mentioned a challenge about Pinterest! Yikes, count me in!  Just so happens, I was already in the process of  creating a project I saw on Pinterest!
Here's my version of the paper cone wreath made using old book pages.  The one I fell head over heals for is GORGEOUS!  Laura over at Corner House gives a tutorial on how to create your own!
#1 I cut out a bazillion scalloped circles using my Cuttlebug and my Nesties.  #2 My son and I folded the bazillion circles into cones.  #3 I was hot gluing those bazillion cones to my wreath for days!  For more detailed instructions, go to the tutorial that Laura gives HERE.  It takes forever to create, but boy is it worth it. Honestly, I just worked on it in my spare time.  We are remodeling our home HERE.
I used black card stock and more book pages to create the little pennant banner.  I used black glitter paper for the letters.  The letters were cut out using my Cricut Expression machine and the Cuttin' Up cartridge.  After I assembled the pennants, I glued them to a long piece of green and white baker's twine and then punched out some tiny flowers, added black Stickles to the centers and glued them to each of the corners.  The pinwheel was created using a wooden skewer, a book page and some of the ribbon I used to hang it.  I cut out a watermelon from the scrapbook paper I used for color on the wreath.
That's about it for me today! I sure did enjoy making this wreath and can't wait to hang it on my front door!  If you want to join in on the Pinterest challenge, just follow the link I gave you at the top of my post and then please let me know when you post yours! HERE is the place to link up your project!  There are tons of beautiful projects posted! WOW!

Thanks for popping by. Until next time, have a lovely day!  HUGS! :)
