Today I have a sweet little pot full of green shamrocks to share with you. I made the shamrocks using my Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. I used 3 different sizes, but now I can't remember the sizes I used...ooopsie! Sorry 'bout that! I do remember that they vary only by 1/4 of an inch if that helps. This little metal pot was scored at my local Dollar Tree a few years back. I actually bought them for THIS project.
I cut each size in DP and plain white card stock so that I could sandwich the wooden skewer in the middle so it would be clean and crisp from the back side as well. I used Zip Dry glue to glue everything in place. That stuff dries FAST and I love it!
I added some left over pieces of burlap from THIS project to the inside of the pot and then just arranged the shamrocks the way I wanted them. Holds up nicely! I had fun digging through my scrap bin finding all these pretty green print papers. Who knew I had so many green print scraps just waiting for a project like this!
The sweet little pot full of shamrocks found a home in the corner of my old Hoosier hutch along side the vintage jello molds and my collection of vintage clothes pins that I love. It's green tin fits in nicely with my old green hutch and its chippy green paint. They are perfect for each other!
I hope you've enjoyed my St. Patty's Day craft today and I also hope you'll come back real soon. Until then, have a lovely day! HUGS!
