How about some vintage cow pokes today? This is yet another one of Peggy's Cutie Couple images she has on sale right now. She offers 3 pages of these little dandies!
Since I'm a Texas gal, I just had to use this image to make a Valentine Day card. I added the s.w.a.k. with a little alphabet stamp set I have and then saved my hearts from the border punch to create the rest of the scene of the two little love birds sneaking a smooch on Love Day. LOL!
I added a bit of gray sheer ribbon and once again I used my heart shaped Nesties and EK Success flower punch to create a little embellishment.
I popped my image up off the card for some added dimension and then decorated the inside to match the card front and I was done! This one is for sale in my Etsy shop too!
What kind of things do you have planned for Valentine's Day? Do you decorate your house? Do you make a special goodie or favorite meal for the ones you love? Do you think I ask too many questions? LOL!
I really appreciate when you stop by to look at what I've created or read what I have to say and I especially LOVE it when you leave me a comment! Until next time, please have a lovely day! HUGS!
How adorable, DeeDee!!! I love these cutie couples! LOL! I just can't get enough of them! You've used the perfect paper and embellies! Fab card my friend! Happy Friday! We finally made it. :) hugs!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome girlie... I love it! I make a special heart cake for Valentine's. It's kind of a tradition in our family. Mom started it cos Feb was a special month... Dad's birthday, Valentine's Day and their anniversary were all in February. To make our special cake you need a cake mix - we use a yellow cake but chocolate would be yummy also, whipping cream and pie cherries. I use 2 cans of pie cherries - cos we love them but one can will do. Make the cake as instructed on the box. But use a 9 1/2 x 9 1/2 x 2 inch square cake pan and a round cake pan. Remove the cakes from their pans and let them cool completely. Place the square cake toward the bottom of your serving plate at an angle so it looks like a diamond. Cut the round cake in half and place 1/2 of it on each side at the top of the angled square cake... this makes the heart. Cover the entire cake in whipping cream... the more the merrier (lol). Place the cherries on top starting in the very center and follow the heart pattern... leaving a whipping cream border around the cherries. Refrigerate until ready to eat it up! This is an awesome presentation and so easy to make!
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling card....
