It's a really tall gate fold card. I made it tall so I could fit all the bits and pieces on the front that I wanted. Both of my sons save their cards each year, so I always try and incorporate their age like you see here, but if I can't each card is dated on the back so they know which year it was for.
I used another Dustin Pike monkey and added the happy birthday sentiment using my Printmaster program. I think I did much better on the coloring and shading of this one! YAY me! LOL! His party hat as well as the "19" on the inside is from the Cricut cartridge Celebrations.
I added just a bit of adhesive to the back of the right hand side of the circle so the card would stay shut, but I kind of like it propped open myself! I think it turned out pretty cute and of course Jake liked it, so that's all that counts! *wink* Thank you for dropping in to see me today! I'll be back soon with another fun card for you! Have a lovely day! HUGS!
SUPER CUTE card, DeeDee!!! I love that Nestabilities shape you used. It's perfect for a card for a guy and just screams celebration! Your monkey is adorable and your coloring is fantastic! I'm sure Jake adored it! Have fun today!
