Meet the New Year with lots of Pluck
I'm here once again with another vintage image from Peggy Loves Vintage. This one caught my eye for the very reason of I couldn't figure out what is on her ears...LOL! I'm guessing its part of the head dress she's wearing, but seriously...it reminds me of Princess Leia from Star Wars! LOL! No but really, I just love her little polka dot dress...so sweet!
I hand stitched this card. It's only the second time I've tried it and it really turned out well and gave the card a little extra umph that it needed. First, I stitched around the border of the card with my sewing machine...just didn't use any thread.....then, I used some embroidery thread and needle and just went all the way around till I was back to where I started. EASY!
Okay, I read the sentiment and I was like...hmmmm? I wonder what they mean by "with lots of pluck"? So I looked it up and the best I can tell it means about the same think as "lots of spunk". If I'm wrong let me know, but that's what I came up with!
That's it...one more time. I hope you've enjoyed my card today, as I have one more to share with you tomorrow, then I'll start posting some other themes.....like maybe some Valentine's Day cards. One of my favorite holidays to create cards for!
NOTE:I apologize for not being a good blogger and visiting all of my bloggy friends! I am really swamped with work right now and have absolutely no free time to "blurf" at work and then when I finally get home...I'm too pooped to to do anything more that what I have to and then eat and fall into bed! I know excuses, excuses....but I just wanted you to know where I've been lately! Maybe things will level out and I'll get more free time really soon! THANKS for understanding! HUGS!
Hi DeeDee..Cute card! I love the hand stitching and great idea of using the sewing machine first for even holes!!!
