I've used another one of the CONTEST images from the Bitten By The Bug site. Peggy from Peggy Loves Vintage offered up 4 wonderful vintage images for us to use in the current contest. I hope you had a chance to enter because there are 2 prizes of lots of yummy vintage images!
The moment I saw this image, I thought of these two patterned papers I used on this card. I think I've said it before, but I always let Peggy's images tell me what colors and patterns I'm going to use on my card when I begin the design process.
I also used a couple of white Prima flowers and inked them using my cats eye chalk ink so that they would match the base paper. So, if you have some white flowers...by inking them with a coordinating color...you can have your flowers to match perfectly.
Oh and BTW, to get this card look, I started out with a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" card base and then extended it up to 5 1/2" x 6" by placing the topper just a 1/2" over the top. That way it still fits in a 6" envelope.
I hope you will check out Peggy Loves Vintage and create something new, but with an old twist. You will love her collections...I promise!
