I Heard It's Your Birthday - BBTB Challenge and Blog Candy WINNER!

Happy Monday and Happy Memorial Day too! I sure am enjoying my days off from work....what a welcomed relief!

So, it's Monday and you know what that means! A new challenge from Bitten By The Bug. Today we are to use the bookmark from the Cricut Animal Kingdom cartridge.

I used a printable stamp set from The Cutting Cafe' called Sweet Stuff. How cute is this cake? I added the 'Harlie' under the cake using my Printmaster program, then printed it out on my Scenic Route lined paper, then printed 2 more times on 2 shades of pink paper and then one more time on green. I then cut out each section and paper pieced it back together. It's popped up off the base image for a bit of added interest. I added icing and sprinkles too buy first applying the seed beads, then covering the whole top layer with Diamond Glaze.

You can see my 3 little bookmarks behind the cake image. The candle paper is by Bella Blvd...too perfect for this cake card! Today is Harlie's (my niece) birthday, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY HARLIE!
