Season's Greetings - BBTB Challenge

Happy Monday!!! Boy oh boy have I got neat thing to tell you about today!!! Regina, over at the Bitten by the Bug site sent out an email to all of us designers letting us know that Scrapnfonts would be sponsoring this weeks challenge and we all got to create our cards with these really neat Doodlebats and a font as well. Regina asked us to use the scalloped edge card from the Cricut Christmas Cheer cartridge as our "canvas" for this weeks creation.

Now, if you've never used or maybe even heard of a Doodlebat...it's really neat actually....each little design is associated with a letter. The Set we used is called DB 'Tis The Season Modern. I used the letter "g" doodlebat which is this Season's Greetings phrase and the letter "q" doodlebat which is the snowflake. I cut out the marquee cut from the Cricut Storybook cartridge and then printed my doodlebat on there and colored it with my Copic markers.

Here's an up close look of the marquee with the doodlebats all colored and dolled up with Kasier pearls. I distressed the whole card heavily for the "old look". I even distressed my ribbon by poking holes up and down the middle then I tied it in 3 loose knots and glued it to the marquee.

See those squares of printed Basic Grey paper.....they are actually snippets of the front cover page that comes with the pack....I NEVER throw it away and ALWAYS use it!!! Waste nothing I say...that's why I have 3 huge bins of scrap papers!!! LOL!!! I stitched around the edges and ripped and tore the papers a bit for an old tattered look....I'm just really loving that look right now!!!
