So, I saved the little sweet jar. Since it had a really bright yellow lid and I wanted to make it look Christmasy, I started out by painting it with some antique white acrylic paint, then distressed it a bit with cats eye chalk ink in chestnut roan, covered the top and sides with liquid glue, sprinkled with red and gold embossing powder, heated it to set and then decorated the top.
I found some really cute chipboard buttons at M's the other day for $1 and I bought two packs of red and one with greens and blues. I used a heart shaped one and added a vintage button, some Prima flowers all frosted with snow, then added a few more vintage buttons and sweet little red gingham bow and tah-dah......I love it!!!! Ya know...mostly because it's RED!!! LOL!!!
Just for picture purposes I filled it with all the red and green buttons I could scrounge up....but you could use this little jar for a small gift at Christmas time or maybe just fill it with your favorite little scrappy embellishment and leave it sitting on your craft space for a bit of inspiration!!! Best of all....I up-cycled a pimiento jar into a sweet little Christmas Goodie Jar!!!! Okee Dokee, that's its for now...please join me again tomorrow for a really neat surprise from the Cutting Cafe'!!!! You are gonna love this little project!!!! I promise!!! HUGS!!!

The urge to push the hair out of a child's eyes is an uncontrollable biological reflex, no different from gagging, sneezing, or hiccuping. No mother on earth can resist it.

What a sweet little jar DeeDee! I just love how you distressed the lid and added all of the gorgeous embellies. Maybe if I had a few of those sitting around my craft room wouldn't always look like a bomb exploded. xxD
