Happy Birthday to Grandpa!

Happy Friday everyone!! I am so ready for the weekend....it has been wild at work this week and I'm ready for a break!!! I made this card for my Grandpa....he will be 94 in a few weeks and LOVES to get cards from me.....he just sits and studies it from one end to the other!!!
Have you ever tried the reverse inking technique with your Cuttlebug embossing folders? My sweet friend Sherri turned me onto it originally. What you do is take your ink pad and rub it over the entire top side of your folder...insert your paper...run it thru the Cuttlebug and then you get this cool effect!! Don't worry...the ink washes right off your folder under warm water!!! Look HERE for some step-by-step details with pictures.
I used some yummy Basic Grey paper...it's actually from one of the Christmas stacks....sorry I don't remember which one....I think it may be Dasher!! The puppy and balloon are from Cricut Paper Pups cartridge...I don't use that cartridge nearly enough....there are so many cute cuts on it. For the puppy's eye and nose I used black Rain Dots. The puppy and balloon are popped up off the card for a little more interest. This was a really simple card....but when I'm making a card for a male....I tend to stay simple and try not to "frill" it all up!! Thanks for stopping by today....have a wonderful weekend!!!
